Inn at Willow Grove
We absolutely adored planning a Miami Merger wedding for Sarah and James in Virginia wine country! Sarah and James met at Miami University. Fun fact- they have an extremely high percentage of weddings amongst alumni hence the name Miami Mergers! Beacon and Berkeley Events was thrilled to partner with A Town Band, Floral Presentations, Event Revolution, DC Rental and of course Lisa Blume Photography to name a few! Our theme was to embrace the Virginia countryside while keeping it on a black tie level. We used a color combination of soft white, greens, greyish silvers, and pops of peach and pink. We brought in white washed farm tables to create an interesting floorplan with the focus on the stunning chandeliers and warm stone fireplace. We used a more modern linen and silver rimmed base plates on the table to warm the space. We proposed a dramatic floral for the fireplace to serve as a backdrop for the newlyweds. We moved to The Ruins for dancing and created a dramatic center of the dance floor wreath chandelier. Cozy furniture groupings flanked the dance floor. The band from Sam Hill Entertainment kept the crowd bumping the entire time! The Beacon and Berkeley team loved watching the dance floor antics. The crowd did not let a little rain stop their dancing! The team at Inn at Willow Grove was an absolute delight to work with and we can’t wait to design in that gorgeous space again. Sarah and James were an absolute delight and we are so proud to welcome them as Beacon and Berkeley family!
